It defines CPU, Peripherial and System-boards and an interconnect to wire them together. It uses powerful 16- or 32-bit processors and provides a much more capable and expandable alternative to SIMM-StickTM, BasicStampTM and other similar solutions. H-Storm is an open initiative in that the complete documentation of the project is avaiable with a BSD-like license. Many of the module designs are also available free of charge for non-commercial uses. H-Storm has its roots in the SIMM-Sys project but has many smaller and larger differences and improvements. Nevertheless, modules of the two systems are easy to integrate together. Project Goals
